Spruce Up Your Garden This Summer With This Handy Guide*

Summer is well and truly here, and with that comes the desire to get outside more. However, for many of us, our gardens are in need of a little attention. During the winter we just don’t have the time or the energy to maintain the garden. Have you ever tried mowing a frozen lawn? So now the nicer weather is here I thought it would be a great time to share with you a quick and easy guide to sprucing up your garden.

Think about how you want to use your garden –

The first thing you need to think about is how you want to use your garden. Do you need it to be a place where you relax, dine al fresco or space to play or entertain? Once you know what you want, then it’s much easy to spruce it up.

Give the garden a clearout –

The next thing to do is create a blank canvas to work with. This means thinking about clearing out any rubbish and tidying the garden in general. Many of us have things that are in our back garden, but they don’t necessarily need to be on show. Like garden tools. So why not consider adding some storage solutions to your garden? This might be in the form of a shed or a storage box. This will allow you to keep the place tidy.

Think about the design –

Depending on what you want to do in the garden you may need to think of the design of it. So do you need a patio area? This is where you could consider a paving stone layout or even a decked area. Perhaps you need a footpath, taking you to a shed or other parts of the garden, then you may want to consider a Garden Paving Supplier. You might want a vegetable patch in your garden, or a specific area for different flowers to grow. This is where you can get very creative with the overall look.

Add some colour –

The next thing to consider would be whether you want to add some colour to the garden. This can be done very easily by the choice of flowers that you could plant in the flowerbeds. Colour can make the garden feel like a much happier place to be. It can lift your mood and your spirits.

Consider alternative options –

If you are not that green fingered. Or don’t have a clue when it comes to garden maintenance then why not spruce things up by adding some alternative options. Artificial grass is a great way to take out the chore that is mowing the lawn. It allows it to look pristine and green throughout the year. If you are not keen on plants and flowers because of the weeding. Then consider designing a low maintenance garden that doesn’t require that to happen.

Solar lighting –

Finally, a great way to make your garden shine is to add some solar lights. This means that you don’t have to worry about excessive electricity bills, but you can still light up your garden at night. It’s a great option if you plan to entertain in the garden. They collect the solar energy from the sun throughout the day and light up at night. They can be purchased at most garden stores.

I hope this helps you spruce up your garden this summer.
Love, Charlotte x
