Dreaming Big…*

A question I get asked a lot is if Baylyn House is my ‘Forever’ home. If you’d have asked me a year or two ago then I’d have said that we’d never move from this house however I’m the type of person that is always looking forward & likes to dream big.

Mr THTMM & I constantly talk about what we’d do if we won the lottery. We’ve spoken about it in depth just in case one day we get lucky…we play the Euromillions every week through Lottoland (which basically match winnings from the lottery across the world & you are betting on the outcome of the draw rather than playing directly. If you win then Lottoland match the prize).

So what would we do if we won big?

Travel – a big family holiday to somewhere like Disneyland Florida or a break away for Mr THTMM & I to the Maldives would be first on the agenda. We haven’t been on holiday since our disastrous break last year to Majorca which was basically something out of ‘holidays from hell’ which led us to vow to stay away from ‘bargain’ holidays.

The dream house – I’ve spoken before about my ‘dream’ house. That big sweeping driveway, those acres of land housing chickens & that kitchen with an AGA/butler sink/stable door. A life in the country would be my idea of heaven. Having no mortgage would be absolutely incredible!

Education – we’re lucky to have brilliant schools nearby however class sizes are large so I’d probably vouch to put my little ones in to private school or fund an extra tutor to get them ahead of their game. I’d even love to go back to University to study Interior Design professionally or take evening classes in things like photography, sewing, cooking & so on to widen my horizons.

Those around us – I couldn’t imagine anything better than being in the position to help our loved ones. From making sure my parents never have to worry a thing & can enjoy retirement with ease, wiping my sisters mortgage to even giving my best friend a deposit for a house to call her own.

Do something you love – now I am one of the extremely fortunate ones that have ended up doing what I love. I couldn’t imagine a better job than what I do now & every single day I feel blessed. Mr THTMM on the other hand probably wouldn’t chose investment banking as his career choice if he didn’t have to earn the pennys needed to fund my shopping habit so I’d encourage him to give it up to pursue something he loved or set up his own business whilst allowing him more time to spend with me & the little ones.

For now, we’ll carry on playing Lottoland, work hard & keep dreaming.

Love,
