A few weeks ago you may have seen my blog posts asking you guys to get involved & vote for a design for me to create in my spare bedroom.
I put forward 3 designs & also got 3 designs sent to me from readers which was then put forward to a public vote which you can see here. After a weekend of voting, design number 1 which was my feminine peachy pink design won & for the past couple of weeks I’ve been busy transforming my unloved spare bedroom.
Here’s a few before pictures –
The main use of the room is when we have students which is a fantastic way of earning some extra income as well as learning about different cultures. Because of this we went for a day bed which I bought off Gumtree for £30.00 with an additional trundle bed underneath incase we have more than one staying. The bedding is from Dunelm.
We also decided that because of this, carpet wasn’t a good idea as the existing one had been ruined over the summer with various make-up stains (teenage girls!) so after a lot of umming & arring over samples & with the help of Sean Morton Pro Flooring, who we couldn’t recommend enough to anybody local, we went with Quick-Step flooring in ‘CREO CR3177’ which is a gorgeous pale grey with wide planks.
Paint wise I was really excited to use something that wasn’t beige & had been eyeing up Farrow & Ball’s ‘Pink Ground’ as pretty much the PERFECT pink for quite a while. As always, the quality of F&B is brilliant & I am absolutely in love with the overall look this tone gives.
Furniture wise I got the most gorgeous chest of drawers & bedside table from Pretty Little Home. I also got these beautiful grey lanterns from there.
The original mirrors that I featured in the design from Laura Ashley were actually teeny tiny after seeing them in person so I ended up buying these from Very.
My giant wicker heart that you may have also seen in our lounge but I loved so much I wanted another, is from the lovely ladies at West Barn – this is such a gorgeous statement piece.
The lamp was a bargain £14.99 from The Range & lots of accessories I stole from other rooms around the house to finish off the look.
What do you all think? None of these photo’s have been edited in any way so you can see the true colours.
Love, Charlotte x

Absolutely gorgeous (emoji heart eyes)
Random question, where is your grey blind from? I'm looking for one for my bedroom and just can't find the right shade X
I absolutely love the colour and I'm definitely going to try and look at persuading my husband to let me use this colour somewhere. xx
Oooooh I seriously love what you have done with this room! It's super pretty! Please may I stay?! Haha 😀

It was from Ikea I think…that or Argos but we bought it a little while ago when it was Rory's room. Sorry I can't be of more help! x
It's SO gorgeous isn't it – the perfect pink x
I want to stay in it too! We have a very lucky foreign student in it for the next 5 weeks x
