What’s Holding You Back From The Perfect Home?

I get comments almost daily on my Instagram page from people who are desperate to fix up their house & don’t know where to start or have given up the dream of maintaining a tidy home after their children run around like mini tornados.

Honestly, I’d love to tell all those lovely ladies that I simply snap my fingers to make my house look like a showhome. However unfortunately, I don’t have a secret or a magic cure & everything I do is down to pure hardwork & determination.

So, what is holding you back –
You don’t have enough disposible income to redecorate?
Available time to do things is of a minimum?
Too overwhelmed with the level of work that needs doing?
Can’t get your family involved or onboard with projects?
Don’t know where to start?

Now, some may say this post is too brutal but I want to be as honest as possible in order to help other. Plus anybody that knows me in ‘real life’ will appreciate that I’m very straight talking & to the point as a person & my overall aim as a blogger is to maintain ‘myself’.

Now ask yourself these questions –
How much do you really want it? Would you sacrifice other things to achieve this? How far are you prepared to go?

If you desperately feel like you need to sort your home out for once & for all then this post will help you, however if you aren’t in it 100% then it probably won’t work for you.

Some people aren’t particularly bothered by material things or their surroundings. In which case, a messy or less than pretty enviornment won’t mean much to them, which is absolutely fair enough & I have no problem whatsoever with this. People live their lives in different ways & I’m not the type to judge on this.

Taking your home from a dive to devine will take sacrifice & will never be an easy road, otherwise everybody would have a spotless beautiful home. You’ll be forced to make decisions every single day that will either move you closer to your overall goal or alternatively, further away.

For example, after a long day at the office, do you put up the blind that’s been sat waiting for 2 weeks & you told yourself you’d do this evening OR do you decide it’s been yet another bad day & instead you’ll lounge infront of the TV & put it off even longer? Sure, it’s much easier to sit & do nothing but nothing gets done by doing that.

Remember, we all have as much time in the day as Beyonce. It’s all about what you do with that time that counts.

IF you are prepared to change your mindset as well as your everyday life then I promise it is absolutely possible to create your perfect home environment.

As the wisest man of all, Mr Albus Dumbledore once said “we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy”.

So, what’s stopping you? GO!

Love, Charlotte x

Loved your reference to both Beyonce and Dumbledore in the same blog post! 😀
