What Should You Do With Your Loft (Apart From Storing Junk In It)?*

In many houses, the loft is an area that is often under-utilised. Let’s face it; most of us just store junk up there and forget about it! We even use it to store things like Christmas trees and decorations.

But, what if you could convert your roof space into a usable room? It sounds like a brilliant idea, right? Here are some ideas for what you could convert your loft into:

Organised Storage Space
Is all your stuff just chucked around in the loft? If so, you could create a better storage area. For instance, you could add shelving and tables to organise your items in a more logical way. The advantage of doing so is you’ll find the things you want quicker in the future.

Playroom
Do you have one or more young children in tow? If so, space might be limited downstairs or in their bedrooms. Why not convert your loft into a playroom? They’ll have hours of fun in there, especially with ALL their toys available when they want them!

Den
Fancy a little hideaway in your home for playing video games? Perhaps you want a dedicated music studio? Whatever your reasons, a loft is a perfect place to create a den.

Bedroom
Last, but not least, you could create a habitable space in your loft in the form of a bedroom. You’ll need to build a permanent set of stairs leading to it, of course. And you should also install some skylights (details on the different types are below).
