When it comes to zhuzh up your home’s interior design, lots of us often overlook the bathroom, many people think that redecorating a bathroom will be a costly endeavour, but it doesn’t need to be, you don’t need to re-fit or re-tile your bathroom so there’s no need to have to splash a lot of cash to revamp your bathroom.

There are lots of smaller tasks you can take on to completely change the look of your bathroom without the need to go DIY crazy or pay for expensive tradesmen to help you out, so today we’ll be looking at 4 tasks you can make to your bathroom without breaking the bank or having to go crazy with your toolkit.
- Decide On A Colour Scheme
This first task is the easiest of the bunch and arguably the most fun as well, picking the colour scheme is one of the most important tasks when it comes to redecorating. As everything you buy in the redecoration will need to fit into the colour scheme.
The colour scheme you choose should also depend on what colour your bathroom is tiled, if it’s a white bathroom, then a light blue/pink will look sleek and smart, but if you have a more beige/brown bathroom, opting for a more neutral/earthy colour should be preferable.
Whatever colour scheme you opt for, just make sure that you stick to it and don’t deviate from your scheme when buying décor items.
- Start Accessorising
Once you have your colour scheme down pat, it’s time to start accessorising whether you take a trip to IKEA, browse Amazon or just go to your local big supermarket, you can get what you need anywhere. What you’ll want to look out for is things like towels, toothbrush holders, toilet brushes, soap dishes etc, just make sure that they all match your scheme.
You may be hesitant to get rid of some of your old bathroom pieces, but honestly having everything fit the colour scheme will be so much better and if possible even try make your bathroom consumables like bleach and shower gel fit your scheme by buying a brand that’s the same colour as your scheme will make your room look so much better.
- Break Out The Blinds
Lots of people for whatever reason, opt to not have blinds in their bathroom for some reason or another, some say you don’t need it as bathroom windows are often frosted, some people worry about the wetness of the bathroom may ruin the blinds, well ignore those people, blinds in the bathroom are amazing and are specially designed so that the dampness of a bathroom doesn’t affect the material.
Again, make sure your blinds fit the colour scheme, if you’ve gone for white + blue, make sure your blind is then either white or blue, or your new waterproof bathroom blinds will stick out like a sore thumb.
- Finishing Touches
Now you have your bathroom redecorated it’s time to add the finishing touches, sprinkle a little bit of your personality through the bathroom, maybe with some trinkets. We recommend making plants a part of your finishing touches, nature looks so amazing in a bathroom, so having a small houseplant like a bonzai tree, or maybe something a bit out there like ivy along your bathroom mirror to bring attention.
Once you’ve added your personal flair, congrats, you have successfully re-vamped your bathroom!
Love,
