Easter Decor & Crafting

Happy ‘Good Friday’ & Easter bank holiday weekend.

Now I’m sure you all know that I take every possible opportunity to decorate & get crafty. Easter is definitely one of those times & styling for the seasons is a great way to get yourself in the festive mood.

Sure, we all like to decorate our homes at Christmas but the idea of other events during the year is gradually making it’s way across the pond from America who seem to go all out when it comes to festive decor.

The ‘Easter tree’ is something I’ve seen popping up on Instagram more & more over the past couple of years & I love seeing peoples different takes on it.

I bought this tree back a few years ago for Elsa’s 1st Birthday party as a ‘wishing tree’ for guests to write little notes to her, since then I’ve used it at our wedding, babyshower, christenings & all sorts so really it’s been a total investment. It’s £25.00 for the 104cm one at Hobbycraft or £18 for the smaller 76cm one

Hanging decoration wise, the little eggs were from Hobbycraft & I decided to get crafty with Elsa to make some salt dough ornaments we could use year in & year out. They were SO easy to make & we followed this recipe.

I also popped some hot cross buns in the cake stand, also from Hobbycraft, for typical Easter naughtiness.

Easter is also normally when the first signs of Spring & new life come about so I upcycled this terracotta planter with some beautiful daffodils & hyacinths to bring some sunshine into the dining room too.

Hope you all have a lovely long weekend with your nearest & dearest filled with love, laughter & plenty of chocolate!

Love, Charlotte x
