Pre-Christmas Get Together

Like the Christmas Eve Box, another tradition we’ve been keen to incorporate in to our family traditions is a pre-Christmas get together with all of our friends.

Sometimes life gets in the way & can make it hard to see everybody so it’s nice to try to get everyone together (although so many of our friends were busy this year so next year i’m definitely going to plan it as early as possible!) to catch up over a glass of mulled wine.

I feel like i’ve met some amazing new friends this year & we are incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many lovely individuals. It’s nice to try to bring the new & the old friends together too.

As it’s my birthday next Saturday (12th December) it’s also a good excuse to see people for that considering my night out days are few & far between nowadays considering i’m a married mum of two (eeek that makes me feel SO old!). My dad’s marrying his girlfriend of 22 years on my birthday next week so we thought we’d bring it forward a week.

Decor wise, the candy cane filled jar & sequin reindeer was from Home Bargains, ‘NOEL’ letters & fairy lights from The Range, heart chalkboard plaques & cake stand from Hobbycraft & glittery tealights from Aldi. The mini Christmas tree was from Bloom & Wild

Drink wise we bought 6 bottles of prosecco which were on offer in Asda for £25. Also 6 bottles of mulled wine from Sainsburys which were £3 each. The usual coke/lemonade/tea/coffee then a big bottle of Baileys & hot chocolate with squirty cream & mini marshmallows.

Food wise we did mini sausage rolls, cheese & crackers, enough mince pies to sink a ship (& i’ll be eating the leftover ones for the next 3 months..), panettone cake, Doritos & dip, pringles & 2 big tubs of celebrations.

Just had to snap a picture of my best friend @sianni06 & her fiancé carl with Rory & Mungo – the Christmas jumper crew! Favs <3

Now i’m ready to put my feet up & finish off the leftovers to end a perfect Sunday.

Love, Charlotte x

    Hi,

Can you tell me where you got the 'baby it's cold outside' stand from please? I noticed you used it for your sisters baby shower too…

    Thanks 🙂
