My Christmas Decor – Home Tour

This is our first Christmas in Baylyn House & i’ve found it surprisingly hard to get things ‘just right’ this time around. Most of our decorations were bought specifically for little spots in our old house (see here) & just don’t look right here or I can’t find places for them to live.

With two young children & not being able to work full time, plus a ridiculously expensive leaking conservatory roof, it’s meant that all the Christmas bits I would have really loved haven’t been possible.

That being said, I do absolutely love the way it’s all turned out & how cosy it is. An old house like this that’s seen over 135 Christmases within it’s walls, deserves to look beautiful & sparkling at this special time of year.

So we’ll start with exterior – I was pondering over warm white subtile icicle lights but decided that our electricity bill is high enough as it is without adding anything else to the mix.

Bows £3.99 from The Range

Fresh Christmas wreath £35 from a local tree seller

Coming in through the front door i’ve put garlands up the stairs. This year everywhere seems to be sold out of them but in the end I found some in a local garden centre & ended up buying 2x 9 foot long as the staircase is quite big.

Then through to the kitchen…
